Thai Toy Expo 2013

Guangzhou Comic Con starts today with the Munich NTQ that I so dearly crave out of my reach. Thailand Toy Expo is coming in January too with another set of exclusives. So many toys, so little money. Sigh.

Photos of the 1/6 Thai exclusives are out, and from what I know it's limited to 1 set per person on a queue basis. 

Here's the Thai TK called Waza (technique). The hair is flopped down like what some call a wet Baka hair. Not too big a fan of carded as it makes it harder to keep after taking out to play, and don't really want to keep it carded if I ever get one of these. 

Thai TQ Irimi (entering) looks interesting with the jacket and frock. This is something I'm definitely keen on and hope I can get my grubby paws on. 

Still too early to say, but hopefully they won't be too expensive on the aftermarket.

The Shogun Aftermath

Ok, it's about 9AM HKT now and while the sale is still ongoing, I'm done. Pretty much got what I wanted in the first hour, but sat around F5-ing in case a shogun loper of sorts came up. But unfortunately, it didn't. I sure hope it's not a rare chase figure randomly inserted into one of the boxes. Knowing my arse luck, I wouldn't get it even if I bought 10 Shoguns.

Custom Medic Grunt

Happened to see a female Medic grunt for sale on BST a couple weeks back, and thought that it'd be good company for my Medic grunt, so here she is. 

The custom was made by Matt Tomczek and more photos by him can be seen here. She came with a MK2 square, so both of them have now joined the squad.

Need to get me a nurse now.

WWRp Medic Bramble MK2

Managed to chance upon a sealed WWRp Medic Bramble! Now I've gotten almost all the bots for my medic squad, the only one left is the 1/6 Medic Dropcloth. The rest of the 1/6 bots are too big for me to amass. 

Shogun TK Round-up

The Shogun TK that many have been waiting for is almost here! Slated for pre-order on 20-12-2012 December, this is one drop that has been getting the forum abuzz. According to the 3A blog, there are 10 shoguns in the storyline, though whether we'll see all 10 in toy form remains to be seen. 

From the looks of it, there are 3 variants at this point of time. No price is announced yet, and no idea which one is 3AA exclusive or if there'll be a secret drop.

First up though, is the OG shogun, Gorei. Loving the orange/blue colourway, the eyes on the helmet, and the design of the shield. Definitely a must get for me!

Next up is the 7Bones shogun, Shiho. Since I already have the first 3 bones, this is a no brainer. The sword looks really huge in this photo though.

The third variant is a darker, black armoured one. Still can't decide if I'll get this. Depends on funds and if there are any secret drops that night. 

Well, that's the short round-up for now. Waiting eagerly on price points to be released!

Update: Prices are out - USD 140 per piece, with a Tsuki+Gorei 2 pack at USD 240 for 3AA members.

Pathfinder Oya TK Ono

Ono seems to have found a path to my home! Wasn't intending to get him originally, but saw one at a decent price and the boxes looked really good displayed side-by-side the rest of the 7Bones, so I couldn't resist. 

Chasing Kyuu

Snagged one of my first 'grail' not too long ago. Been eyeing this one for a long while, and finally chanced upon a decent local deal. It's one of those things that don't pop up often, overseas offers are a killer on shipping thanks to the size, while local eBay sellers ask for the sky.

Removalists + Pink Johan

Sales is over! Was an easy grab and wasn't expecting any secret drops because this was a one hour limited sale. 

I was wrong.

Pink Johan appeared.

So I snagged one. After some panic. I had went to do my laundry thinking there was nothing more, only to come back and found out I had missed the first wave. Fortunately there were two more waves and I grabbed one on the second wave.

And that's the drop for today.

WWR Medic Grunt

Medic grunt is in the house! After a long and patient wait for the market to sell one at a reasonable price without a square, I finally got it! In my initial gullible stages, I got conned by a shop into purchasing the square at a premium, and I'm not that big a fan of squares to get another one.

A quick look at a  Lady Sham I acquired recently. While not exactly an item on my hit list, I originally got it to do a little switcheroo with my RVHK Yesterday Princess.

WWRp Medic Bertie + MK1 Square

Got this a few days back, but the arrival of a number of toys, including the NOMs kinda put this on the back burner. Anyway, here's another WWRp addition to boost my medic squad. Together with my medic grunt who arrived recently as well, I now have 3 bots + 1 grunt in the squad!

Both NOM 4th and 27 have batons, why doesn't it's older brethren, Barguest, have one? With that thought in mind, I decided to make a simple pair of tonfas for Barguest.
